Last Updated: July 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for, accessing, or participating in Shadow Sprint (the "Hackathon"), organized by Classic Phase (the "Organizer"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Engagement. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not participate in the Hackathon.
2. Eligibility
Shadow Sprint is open to developers, designers, and creators of all ages worldwide. There are no age restrictions to participate. However, if you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have the consent of your parent or legal guardian to participate and receive any prizes.
Participants may enter as solo operatives or form squads of up to 4 members.
3. Code of Conduct
We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for everyone. Harassment of any kind, including but not limited to offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, or disruptive behavior, will not be tolerated.
The Organizer reserves the right to immediately disqualify and remove any participant who violates this Code of Conduct, without warning or refund of any applicable fees.
4. Intellectual Property
You retain full and complete ownership of all intellectual property rights to the source code, designs, and materials you create during the Hackathon. Classic Phase does not claim ownership over your projects.
By participating, you grant the Organizer and its sponsors a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote your project's name, description, screenshots, and presentation materials for marketing, promotional, and historical purposes related to the Hackathon.
5. Submission Integrity
All submitted projects must be original work created during the official 12-hour hacking window. The use of pre-existing open-source libraries and APIs is permitted, provided they are publicly available to all participants and properly attributed.
Plagiarism, unauthorized use of copyrighted material, or submission of code written before the event start time will result in immediate disqualification.
6. Liability & Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Classic Phase and its sponsors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your participation in the Hackathon, including but not limited to technical failures, data loss, or server downtime.
The Hackathon and all related services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind.
7. Judging and Prizes
The decisions of the judges are final and binding in all matters relating to the Hackathon. The Organizer reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.
Prize winners are solely responsible for all applicable taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use.
